We talked to the seller last night and things seem to be progressing well. He’s going to take the RV to the mechanic today so the wheels can be rotated and do a general checkup of fluids, etc. We still need to do a test drive (it was a monsoon when we went down this past Saturday ) and test the mechanics of it. We are already approved for the loan and the seller isn’t in a rush to get rid of it, so we don’t have to worry much about it disappearing before we can get everything worked out. I don’t want to jinx anything, so I won’t be telling you about the RV until we have it. Then you can expect gushing posts and a ridiculous amount of pictures. 🙂 Until then, I will busy myself by stressing over how much needs to get done to be wheels up by December 1, 2011. Being geeks, we are sure to find some open source software that will help us with our project. We have two big ones that will run at the same time. How to downsize our stuff to a small storage unit, and how to organize the RV to have it meet our needs. We have been busy shedding our stuff already, but still have a long road ahead of us. And for RV organization, I have a feeling Ikea and The Container Store will be our new best friends.

Welcome! We started this RV travel blog to document our journey to living in an RV fulltime. Since we are nowhere near retirement age, we will have to balance work with travel and do it all with 4 fluffy kids. This should be an exciting adventure!
